Professional Canine Training Programs
Structured system. Technical criteria. Sustainable results. At Puerto Rico Canine Training, we work under a structured system that prioritizes clarity for the dog and real training for the guardian.
Each process is designed with precision and professional criteria, according to the dog's level, the family's goals, and the complexity of the case. Note: Every process begins with a prior evaluation.
Board & Train
Daily structure. Professional supervision. Measurable results. The dog integrates into our daily system in Vega Baja, where it works multiple sessions under direct professional supervision. It is the recommended modality when the case requires significant behavioral changes, intensive consistency, or advanced training. We work under a defined plan from day one, with clear objectives and measurable criteria.
Three Week Program
Solid base. Reliable control. Designed to establish real structure in an intensive period. We accept young dogs, adolescents, adults, and puppies starting from 4 months (with up-to-date vaccinations).
We work on mild modifications such as:
- Impulsivity
- Excessive barking
- Jumping on people
- Lack of basic control
During the program, we develop:
- Functional obedience under distraction
- Reliable response to recall
- Structured leash handling
- Progressive self-control
- Clear boundaries inside and outside the home
Result: Greater focus, better regulation, and firm training foundations. The guardian learns how to sustain progress with clarity and consistency at home.
Six Week Program
Advanced control. Structured freedom. Superior standard. Recommended for dogs older than 6 months and especially indicated in cases requiring deeper intervention (subject to evaluation).
Ideal for:
- Dogs with high energy
- Moderate reactivity
- Families who desire real freedom without losing handling
“Freedom is not improvisation. It is the result of a consistent structure.”
During six weeks, we work on:
- Immediate and consistent recall
- Functional off-leash work
- Control under real distraction
- Emotional regulation in public spaces
- Stability toward dogs and people
- Advanced self-control
Bootcamp Result: Reliable off-leash work. Control under real stimuli. Greater emotional stability. A guardian capable of sustaining that freedom with responsibility.
Behavior Modification
Professional criteria. Safe handling. Emotional restructuring. Designed for complex cases requiring a deep technical intervention and a complete reset of the behavioral pattern in a controlled environment. This program works on the emotional root of the behavior. We do not look solely for external control, but for internal stability and safe handling in daily life.

Recommended when the following exist:
- Intense reactivity
- Significant anxiety
- Deep fears
- Aggression
The process includes:
- Precise identification of triggers
- Safe handling protocols
- Structured progressive exposure
- Emotional restructuring under professional supervision
- Direct guardian training
Note on the process: Each case is unique and learning times vary according to the dog. The delivery date is an estimate; the return home is authorized only when the professional determines that the dog has reached the emotional stability necessary for safe handling in its family environment. We do not promise quick fixes. We work through responsible and technically grounded processes.
Result: Deep emotional restructuring and a guardian trained to sustain the new behavior with safety and judgment.
Private 1:1 Classes
Clarity. Technique. Direction. Designed for guardians who wish to involve themselves actively and learn to handle and understand their dog correctly. Here, we don’t just train the dog. We train the entire family.

Structured Boarding

We also receive dogs that have not previously participated in our programs, always subject to initial evaluation to guarantee compatibility with the environment and safety for all. Our priority is to maintain a balanced, safe, and structured environment for every dog under our care.
